‘Insomnia’ On Black
I imagine the night is still very active, very much alive as I sleep, as I dream. That while the rest of the world sleeps, shadows are the playmates of light fragments, They move in dancing circles. They jump and twirl and tease. They act like dreams: shy when someone looks directly at them. Hiding just around the corner, or inside dreams.
My imaginings do nothing to help me sleep when I really need sleep and for whatever reason, can’t seem to fall asleep. All this wondering, thinking, pondering. So I give up — I get up. Sleep will come when I’m ready for it. I decide to make use of my sleeplessness by sneaking around in the dark pursuing the secret life of night-time shadows.
