Description
Gorillas are strong, unpolished individuals with a gruff coarse exterior that conceals their soft and chewy center, and are capable, happy-go-lucky individuals with a disarming naiveté. Maybe a little hairy with a tattoo or two too, they are unpretentious and engaging creatures who brighten everyone’s day with their enthusiastically warm greetings.

Even with the gorilla’s warmly gruff exterior, there’s an underlying sense of menace that percolates throughout it’s personality. But even though it is built for physical confrontation, it’s difficult to imagine a gorilla actually inflicting bodily harm. However, when the gorilla or its family is threatened, the transgressor quickly realizes its mistake. Its body hair standing on end, and large frame at full height, the gorilla will never back down from a fight. In a child-custody battle it’s better to negotiate an up-front peace with a gorilla rather than endure a prolonged and bloody battle.

As a primate, the gorilla possesses considerable brainpower, although unlike its cousin the baboon, has no desire to waste its days deep in thought. Instead, life is spent in quiet enjoyment of play and family interactions.

Gorillas are capable of forming long-lasting, monogamous relationships and enjoy the peace and comfort provided by large families and close groups of friends. Considered to be attentive mates, they make an effort to provide a secure and comfortable nest. Not being overly ambitious though, they have a tendency to rest on their laurels.

Smaller animal personalities are attracted to their embracing persona and they form lasting bonds with submissive mice and cottontails. Warm and kind to these ‘pets’, they dominate the relationships and control their duration. Their personalities clash with the challenging nature of owls, foxes and moles who retard their carefree spirit and it are at their best in relationships with baboons, cottontails and dogs.

Gorillas have a strong need for structure in their households, which requires a healthy system of communication throughout the family. No one could accuse a gorilla of being dispassionate on issues of friendship and loyalty, although its emotions will sometimes get in the way of common sense.

Bear

Description
Conflicting forces shape the bear’s nature. Since it is a classic omnivore, this burly beast exhibits two distinct sides to its personality. The carnivorous component makes the bear gruff and powerful, while its herbivorous side reveals a sensitive and intelligent individual.

With their gruff outgoing personalities, their burly physiques and strong characters make bears easy to identify. Their natural confidence and swaggering gaits puts others on notice that a bear is present. They require a great deal of personal space and when they enter a room, the tension level rises. As youngsters, bears excel in sports, although their propensity for laziness relegates it to being an observer and fan in later life. Familiar with the seduction of the couch, their ability to sleep soundly is legendary throughout the animal world.

Although it is aware and intelligent, the bear mostly succeeds from the sheer force of its personality. Rarely challenged to reach its full intellectual potential, it dominates conversations with its intense single-mindedness. However, it is unwilling to argue from a position that it doesn’t truly believe in, which makes it a lousy lawyer.

Bears routinely enjoy success in all aspects of their industrious lives and their large and capable frames elicit respect and admiration in the workplace. Their natural leadership talents make them suitable for jobs in management, academia and personnel training. General Norman Schwarzkopf is the quintessential bear personality, typifying this breed’s no-nonsense head-on approach to life.

Two elements define the bear’s style of debate. Never avoid an argument and never back down. Bears will batter their opponents into submission just for the endorphin rush — for there’s nothing a bear enjoys more than pitting every drop of its intellectual juices against the mind of a worthy opponent.

These large carnivores are not the most reciprocating of lovers and their mating habits can be described as intense, speedy and sweaty — never as romantic or extravagant. But still, they’re always willing to get the fur flying, and their mates secretly appreciate the passion and ferocity of their sexual interest.

Description
Roosters are those talented, creative, but somewhat eccentric people who make life interesting for the rest of us. Their bird-like minds are always on the lookout for stimulation and roosters display the characteristically high-energy behavior of their species. They are artistic, creative, and sophisticated with a thorough knowledge of fine wines, cooking, writing, theater and painting. Subscribing to the early bird maxim, roosters rise a little earlier than their competition and could even be accused of having their fingers in too many pies. For the world is so fascinating to the rooster, that settling down into any one career would be impossibly constricting. Unfortunately, their earning potential can suffer in a competitive world that rewards specialization. But, roosters will succeed when they choose a career that presents a variety of challenges, such as medicine, publishing, journalism, or acting.

There’s a touch of glamour in everything the rooster does — for settling for less would be exasperating to the rooster’s essence. Why take the train if you can fly? This philosophy pervades its personal life, for the rooster proves to be a perfectionist in the bedroom too. Of course, roosters are not above crowing a little, if they feel that their efforts have gone unnoticed. But in the long run, partners have few complaints holding their rooster lover in the highest regard as paramour.

Their ideal mates include peacocks who are attracted to their strong demeanor and flashy style. They are incorrigible flirts and although successful in attracting mates, their egos sometimes drive potential partners away. When sufficiently motivated by the right partner however, the rooster will generally find a way to make the relationship work.

As a parent, it is fussy and attentive. Like the proverbial brooding hen, it is involved with every aspect of its children’s lives; including their dress and company they keep; some even accuse the rooster of being overprotective. Although its children might resent their parent’s interference, they learn to appreciate their concerns as they mature. The more reserved animal personalities such as bats, bison and moles find them to be fussy and bossy, and snake and canine personalities should be studiously avoided.

A rooster will not be silent while there’s breath in its body and although its powerful voice tends to be on the shrill side — when it calls for action, everyone responds. Fuelled by resentment of their brazen style, these saucy birds hear a lot of unkind remarks from members of their own species and these barbs tear at their self-esteem. But when things look bleak, they stick to their guns, redouble their efforts, and live by the motto: if at first you don’t suck seed, try drier grain.
